My name is Zanné, the founder of Creative Chicks. I’m a proud pig mom to three precious potbelly pigs named Patat, Mona-Liefie, and Finn. And, as if that’s not enough, I’m also a dog mom to three amazing mixed-breed dogs. My husband, who hails from the Western Cape, fell head over heels for this Pretoria girl, and we’ve been married for many years.

 

How did the name Creative Chicks come to be?

It all started with a “secret society” I formed with my nieces. We would whip out our sketching pads, oil pastels, crayons, and paint to create art that we deemed worthy of the Creative Chicks Society. Those times with my nieces made me realize how creative and unique each of us was, so when I decided to start this business, I knew the name had to be Creative Chicks. It’s a nod to those fond memories with my nieces, and to all the ladies out there who are just as fond of being creative and celebrating their own creative uniqueness.

 

And here we are, a small business based in beautiful Jacaranda City, Pretoria, South Africa. At Creative Chicks, I create unique earrings that cater to a wide variety of styles, tastes, and budgets. We support animal sanctuaries across South Africa, so when you buy our earrings, it creates an opportunity for us to donate to these organisations.
